How to Tell Time by the Stars

How to Tell Time by the Stars: "Correct for daylight savings time. If DST is in effect, humans
say it is one hour later than the stars say it is.
Correct for longitude. This could be a half hour either way if
you are near the edge of your timezone. The correction is zero if you
are in the middle of your timezone.

Sun Size Comets? :: Astrobiology Magazine ::

Sun Size Comets? :: Astrobiology Magazine :: : "According to Zoltan Balog, lead author of the team's paper, the super-sensitive infrared eyes of Spitzer are ideal for capturing the 'photoevaporation' of these planet-forming disks. In this process, immense output from the O star heats the disks that are surrounding nearby sun-like stars so much that gas and dust boil off (much like the evaporation of boiling water), and the disk can no longer hold together. Photon (or light) blasts from the O star then blow away the evaporated material, potentially stripping the sun-like stars of their ability to form planets."

Yet another home analemma page: the Mack family driveway analemma: "Growing up in the southern hemisphere and being being subject to
the Euro/American northern hemispherism of our education system,
gave plenty of opportunity for testing our knowledge.
To navigate by the stars, you look for Polaris,

The books talked about 4 seasons: summer, winter, spring and fall - if
you can believe that.
Unbeknown to the small fraction of the world's population in USA and Europe,
most of the world has wet and dry, or dry and dry, or wet and wet.
